Courtesy Phrases

Explanation:
We use courtesy phrases when we are trying to leave a good impression of ourselves to the people we are directing it to. Like when someone hands you something, you say Gracias(thanks). And they would respond by saying de nada, por nada or No hay de que which means your welcome. There are more courtesy phrases on the table.

Real life situation:
You are in a Mexican restaurant, the Mexican waiter hands you the food you ordered, but you’re stuck trying to say thank you in Spanish! You don’t remember how to say it! He doesn’t understands and says ¿Cómo?(what?) over and over again. How do you thank him, how would he reply and what are some other polite phrases you would use?!
Ex.

Gracias
Muchas Gracias
Mil Gracias Thanks
Thanks a lot.
Thanks a million.
De nada
Por nada.
No hay de qué. Your welcome.
¿Cómo? What was that? (If you didn’t catch what someone said.)
Por Favor Please!
Con permiso. (when someone’s standing in your way) EXCUSE ME.
Disculpe. (To get someone’s attention)
Perdón. (if you accidentally bump into someone)
