Weather Conditions

If you want to know how to ask what the weather’s like in Spanish and know how to reply or understand the replies you receive when ask, I have your solution! The table below displays how to say these phrases!

¿Qué tiempo hace? What’s the weather like?
Hace (mucho) frío It’s (very) cold.
Hace (mucho) calor It’s (very) hot.

Hace (mucho) viento It’s (very) windy.
Hace (mucho) sol It’s (very) sunny.
Hace (mucho) fresco It’s (very) cool.
Está lloviendo It’s raining.
Está nevando It’s snowing.
Está nublado It’s cloudy.

You are about to go to school. You run downstairs and see your mom’s friend in the kitchen, she doesn’t speak much English, but knows Spanish. Your mom is already at work and your mom’s friend is to send you off to school, you don’t want to step outside to test the weather, so you ask her “What’s the weather like outside?” She looks at you confused and says, “¿qué? (what?)”. She doesn’t know what you are saying! How else do you ask her what the weather is like outside and how will you know what her response is, unless you know the phrases and words and Spanish.
